Start or grow a business for good.

Dana Ward

DC Program Manager

“It’s only when you make the process your goal that the big dream can follow.” - Oprah Winfrey

Dana comes to SEED SPOT from Chicago, IL where her love for entrepreneurship started at a young age. Trading skyscrapers for flatirons, she moved to Boulder, Colorado where she earned a degree in International Affairs with a minor in Economics. CU Boulder is where she first proved her business skills winning first place at a local entrepreneurship competition and then going on to develop her own social business. After graduation, she took her skills to a B Corporation which provided international social innovation opportunities and training for young professionals.

Prior to SEED SPOT, Dana also worked in the tech sector and most recently, in international development, managing programs for the Young African Leaders Initiative and Fulbright Teacher Exchanges.

Dana has always been passionate about social entrepreneurship and enjoys work that combines her technology and international development background to find innovative solutions to global problems.

Dana loves travel, recently focusing on exploring as many U.S. National Parks as she can. When not discovering new music at local concerts you can find her out on the trail hiking, playing tennis with friends, or practicing yoga at her favorite DC studio.

You can change the world. We can help.
