Jess Bissey

Jess Bissey is an attorney in Morrison & Foerster’s Corporate, M&A and Social Enterprise & Impact Investing practices. She advises clients through a broad range of day-to-day matters as well as through their most significant and transformational moments. Jess has a real passion for sophisticated transaction structuring, and for bringing those transactions from strategy through execution and ultimately to a successful integration, while paying careful attention to the mission and goals of her clients.

Jess works with emerging and fast-growth companies, as well as their sources of capital, in connection with organization, governance, financing and ultimately exit. She focuses primarily on working with clients in the impact economy, including social enterprises, hybrid organizations, impact investors, accelerators, incubators and anyone interested in exploring how corporate structure, form and governance can promote and preserve mission. Her favorite way to pass time is geeking out about the future of impact with new and similarly dedicated friends.

Prior to joining the firm, Jess was Vice President and Associate General Counsel of a fast-growth technology company and previously practiced in the London office of Sullivan and Cromwell LLP.

Jess is currently leading the pilot year of a Legal Advisory Group for Echoing Green, acted as judge for the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge, and mentors for Gratitude Network (and, of course, SEED SPOT).
