SEED SPOT hosts program for students
Do you know any high school students who are interested in business, and want to learn the ins and outs of launching a company, straight from successful entrepreneurs?SEED SPOT is the best place for these ambitious high school students to camp out this summer, and be part of the nonprofit’s first entrepreneurial program for teens.Here’s what’s planned for this weeklong workshop:
Day 1: Students will be inspired when they meet the SEED SPOT family, including energetic mentors and rock-star social entrepreneurs.
Day 2: Students will learn business model basics, and practice on real SEED SPOT ventures.
Day 3: It will be time to pick the group’s best ideas, form teams and start building business models.
Day 4: Students will test ideas with real customers and iterate based on findings.
Day 5: It’s all about perfecting the pitch! Students will develop a presentation, pitch to investors and compete for awards such as lunch with a local CEO and the opportunity to be showcased in front of 700+ people at SEED SPOT’s DEMO DAY in December.
When: Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18 (from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

How: To register, submit an online application no later than Friday, July 4. The fee for the program is $250, and a limited number of scholarships are available. Students are encouraged to apply soon, as the program is limited to 40 students
