About SEED SPOT

At SEED SPOT, we harness the unique power of entrepreneurship to drive social impact and economic mobility. Our programs are designed to directly address the primary barriers faced by underrepresented entrepreneurs —including limited access to tactical education and resources, expert mentorship, and early-stage capital. Since 2012, SEED SPOT has served over 4,000 entrepreneurs, 83% are from underrepresented communities, and 60% are women entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs are not just building businesses—they are strengthening communities, creating jobs, and shaping a more inclusive economy. Collectively, SEED SPOT entrepreneurs have generated over $420 million in revenue, raised more than $200 million in capital, and created nearly 10,000 jobs.

The Opportunity

The next CEO of SEED SPOT will inherit an internationally renowned social impact organization in excellent financial health, a deeply experienced and talented team, and a long history of success in serving underrepresented and impact-driven entrepreneurs. In addition, the exiting CEO will join the board of directors and will play an active role in ensuring a smooth leadership transition.

The next CEO of SEED SPOT is both a visionary and a strategist, responsible for guiding SEED SPOT’s growth, sustainability, internal culture, and long-term impact. This role requires a leader who is deeply committed to the role of entrepreneurship in driving social impact and economic mobility. Externally, the CEO will build strategic partnerships and is responsible for stewarding the resources and funding required to meet the organization’s plans for growth and impact. Internally, the CEO will lead and support a talented and dedicated team, ensuring our mission and values remain central to all organizational decision-making.

Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for SEED SPOT’s strategic vision, operational management, financial health, and public positioning. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the CEO will drive the organization’s mission forward by leading a diverse, high-performing team, securing all necessary resources and funding, and translating a bold vision into a corresponding set of actionable and measurable strategies.

You’re Most Likely a Fit If…

  • You thrive leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams and fostering collaboration across time zones.
  • You have a proven track record of securing six-figure philanthropic gifts and cultivating lasting donor relationships.
  • Developing strategic partnerships energizes you, and you’re always thinking about the next opportunity to expand impact.
  • You are equally comfortable shaping big-picture vision and rolling up your sleeves to execute key initiatives.
  • Coaching and empowering a high-performing team is at the core of how you lead.

This Likely Isn’t for You If…

  • Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment feels overwhelming rather than invigorating.
  • Fundraising isn’t an area where you feel confident or motivated to lead.
  • You prefer rigid structures over the adaptability and experimentation required in an entrepreneurial organization.
  • Supporting and developing team members feels like an extra task rather than an essential leadership responsibility.
