Looking Lens creates stories that inspire Black & Brown youth to reach their full potential.
There are massive disparities in children’s media representation and Looking Lens is on a mission to change that.
For example, only 11.7% of children’s books contain Black characters and an even smaller percentage of these books feature Black characters in strong leadership roles.
The first characters created by Looking Lens are Ava & Mae. The Ava & Mae book series teaches elementary readers entrepreneurial concepts and the importance of never giving up.
