As we begin the new year here at SEED SPOT, we’re taking a moment to reflect back on what we accomplished in 2025 and look towards the future. In the past year, our entrepreneurs have earned placements in top retailers, secured six-figure capital investments, and delivered tangible support to their communities. None of this impact would be possible without you—our community of alumni, partners, and donors. Without further ado, let’s reflect on what we accomplished together in the past year.
Impact by the Numbers
This year, our organization served over 400 entrepreneurs, bringing our total alumni community to 4,616. That’s 4,616 entrepreneurs providing medical care, fresh produce, and other essential services to communities across the United States. Together, our alumni have gone on to create over 11,000 jobs across and generate $447 million in revenue.
The entrepreneurs we serve come from an array of backgrounds in communities across the nation. Over half of our alumni identify as women. Sixty-six percent of these entrepreneurs identify as people of color. In total, 84% of our community is underrepresented in America’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Program Highlights
2025 was a huge year for SEED SPOT’s Retail Brand Accelerators, adaptations of our impact accelerator programs that support underrepresented founders of retail products. Through these programs, we helped our entrepreneurs secure product placement in top retailers such as Walmart, Whole Foods, and Kroger.
Additionally, with the support from the NBA Foundation and the Best Buy Foundation, SEED SPOT expanded its youth programming to seven states across the nation. These programs use entrepreneurship to help youth build the confidence and skills they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. In 2025 alone, we served 196 students across and matched 13 of these students with paid internship opportunities.
