A two-day summit brings together women to discuss entrepreneurship and careers in technology and science.
Entrepreneurs and professionals are coming together to discuss economic empowerment for women during a two-day conference Friday and Saturday.
The Phoenix Women Investing in Women Summit offers seminars about crowd-funding, driving sales, small-business finances, digital-media strategies and getting more women interested in science, technology, engineering and math careers, among other topics.
Speakers and panelists include Courtney Klein, co-founder of Seed Spot; Anu Bhardwaj, founder of Women Investing in Women Digital; and Lisa Stone, SheKnows Media’s chief community officer and co-founder of BlogHer.
The event, the third annual, also includes book-signings, a private-equity roundtable and networking opportunities. It will be at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, 555 N. Central Ave., Phoenix.
General admission to the Phoenix event is $100-$250. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support the official launch of the State of Women Radio Network, the Women Investing in Women & Girls radio show and the Girls Rule! Foundation, Bhardwaj said.
Women Investing in Women is a coalition that fosters economic empowerment for women across the globe. Phoenix is one of several locations to hold a summit this year. Other locations include San Diego, South Africa, Singapore and New York.
