Gil Valadez
I was born and raised in Chicago, IL and its suburbs. I am a Cubs fan and not a White Sox fan. Also, love the Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks. Yes, I was there during all of the Michael Jordan years, the 1985 Bears Superbowl Shuffle, but I missed the Blackhawks Stanley Cups. Love Italian Beef, Chicago Style Hotdogs, and crispy thin crust Chicago pizza. Don’t miss the snow! I relocated to the Phoenix, AZ area in 2000.
I started my career in 1986 as an insurance agent with Prudential. Over the next few years, I shifted into leadership and management roles, taking on positions like Sales Manager, Managing Director of Sales and Financial Planning Operations, and Vice-President of Strategic Practice Development, working across the Chicagoland area and the Southwestern U.S. After relocating to Arizona, I served on several Boards of Directors including the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Business Leadership Council, ALPFA (the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting), Arizona State University School of Global Management and Leadership. After 26 successful years of leadership positions, I decided to restart my own practice in 2012.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Teresa, have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. When I am not working, you’ll likely find me having fun with my grandchildren, attending one of their games or on the golf course. I’m a single digit handicap and my license plate reads, 18 A DAY.
