With expert-led workshops, mentorship, and a baseball-inspired challenge, you’ll round the bases toward success—one step at a time. Whether you’re launching, refining, or growing, you don’t have to do it alone.

How it Works

Round the bases and earn prizes for your business.

Join the Roster

After registration, create your Player Profile by sharing details about your business and goals.

Once you’re in, you’ll get your own virtual Player Card featured on the site—making you an official participant ready to start earning rewards!

Meet a Mentor

Attend at least three (3) workshops and gain valuable insights from industry experts.

Complete this step to access a one-on-one Mentor Session designed to help you refine your business strategy.

Earn a Ticket

Schedule and complete your Mentor Session to earn a free ticket to the Phoenix Launch Camp. ($199 value)

At the end of the two-day workshop, take the stage to share your elevator pitch at the SST25 Closing Event!

Invest in YOU!

Finish strong by submitting your Impact Canvas Worksheet, elevator pitch, and investment intention statement.

You'll become an official SEED SPOT alum, and eligible players can even earn a $500 microgrant!

It's an Open Field - Everyone Can Play!

Startup Spring Training is open to everyone who wants to learn, grow, and take their business to the next level. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to refine your strategy, this free event series is designed to be accessible and inclusive.

With both virtual and in-person programming, you can participate from anywhere, and sessions are offered in English and Spanish to ensure more entrepreneurs can join the conversation. No matter where you are in your journey, you’re welcome on this team!

Plus, Eligible Participants Can Earn $500 for Their Business.

Startup Spring Training is funded to support entrepreneurs and small business owners in Arizona who have faced barriers in accessing business resources, such as capital, mentorship, or professional networks.

Many underrepresented entrepreneurs—including women, people of color, and those from historically underserved communities—have experienced these challenges, and this program is designed to help level the playing field.

This season, 100 microgrants are reserved for eligible participants who complete key program milestones.

By attending sessions, engaging with a mentor one-on-one, and rounding the bases, eligible participants can unlock a $500 microgrant to invest in their business. It’s our way of ensuring that those who put in the work have access to real financial support to take their next step forward.

Microgrants are reserved for people who:

Live in Arizona
Have experienced barriers in accessing business resources (such as funding, mentorship, or professional networks)
Identify as part of an underrepresented group, including but not limited to women, people of color, and historically underserved entrepreneurs. See the full definition.
Complete all program tasks and activities outlined in How to Play
Submit a W-9 form upon program completion (required for tax purposes)
Have access to a U.S. bank account that can receive funds on your behalf (yours, your business's, or otherwise)

Microgrants are reserved for the first 100 eligible participants who complete all steps.

Funds will be disbursed by April 30 and can be used to invest in yourself or your business however you choose.
