Phoenix Business Journal: SEED SPOT Receives $100k Grant to Expand Efforts into Latino Community

By Brandon Brown

Phoenix-based Seed Spot received a $100,000 grant from the charitable wing of New York-based investment firm Blackstone (NYSE: BX) to help expand its incubator model into Phoenix’s Hispanic community through targeted recruitment and marketing efforts.

Seed Spot was one of 20 organizations that received part of a $3 million initiative from Blackstone Charitable Foundation. The program focuses on funding nonprofits that strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems and support high-growth entrepreneurs. Seed Spot competed with more than 550 nonprofits from around the world for the grant.

With its grant money, Seed Spot will diversify its recruitment efforts and expand its high school program.
