The program is built for impact-focused for-profit and nonprofit ventures that have reached proof of concept, meaning they have launched an MVP, have early customers, partners, or donors who are buying or committing, and are learning what sells and to whom.

After the program, founders gain a lifetime of alumni benefits and special access, stay connected with accomplished industry leaders and fellow impact entrepreneurs, and continue to receive personalized SEED SPOT support as their ventures grow.

FAQs

Does my business need to be currently earning revenue to participate?

Yes. Impact Accelerator is built for ventures that have launched an MVP and generate between $50,000 and $100,000 in annual revenue through sales, partnerships, or donations, with an earned revenue component for nonprofits.

Can founders based outside the U.S. apply?

Not at this time. This cohort is open only to U.S.-based founders. To hear about future opportunities, sign up for SEED SPOT’s monthly newsletter or follow SEED SPOT on social media.

Will I receive funding during the program?

No, there is no funding directly associated with the Impact Accelerator. This program will help you earn more revenue and be a better candidate for venture funding. As an alumnus, you'll be qualified to apply for the annual Demo Day competition, with thousands of dollars in grants up for grabs.

How will I receive mentoring?

SEED SPOT understands that each founder has different pain points and challenges. For each Impact Accelerator cohort, a customized team of seasoned experts with experience in founding and scaling ventures is assembled to provide 1:1 mentorship to the cohort members.

Do you accept nonprofit ventures?

Yes! About 15% of participants lead nonprofit ventures. Nonprofits should have an earned revenue component, since the program focuses on revenue growth and investment readiness.

Do I have to give venture equity to SEED SPOT to participate?

Nope, hold onto your equity! SEED SPOT does not take ownership in your company, and this program is fully funded.

What is the attendance policy?

Live participation is a core part of the Impact Accelerator, so founders who miss more than two sessions will be removed from the program.

If your venture is ready to grow its revenue and impact, you can apply to join the next Impact Accelerator cohort and build the foundation to reach more of the community you serve.

If you still have questions, the next Info Session is a chance to hear program details and application tips directly from the SEED SPOT team.
