Press Release: SEED SPOT Appoints New Board Members That Share Passion and Commitment In Accelerating Social Impact Entrepreneurship

PHOENIX, AZ (September 14, 2021) – With a presence and deep connections in both Phoenix and Washington, DC, SEED SPOT, a social impact incubator for mission-driven startups is quickly expanding its reach across the country and internationally. Despite the ongoing challenges caused by the pandemic, entrepreneurs and social changemakers are thriving and reimagining the way business is done. To better serve diverse entrepreneurs while addressing critical organizational needs, SEED SPOT is proud to announce the growth in leadership with the addition of three new visionaries to an already talented roster of board members.

SEED SPOT’s Board Chair, Russel Goldstein, shared the excitement and importance of these new board members.“When envisioning the next era of SEED SPOT, we were thoughtful and intentional in who we wanted to add to help guide the organization. Each of these individuals bring such interesting and unique approaches and mindsets to marketing, strategy, community building, and culturally relevant programming,” Goldstein stated. “We’re thrilled to have them help helm the future of entrepreneurship education with us.”  

Unique and diverse in backgrounds, expertise and approach, the new board members include:

Brian Hill 

Brian Hill works with 100’s of emerging fashion designers each season as the Executive Director of Phoenix Fashion Week. Brian has more than 15 years’ experience in the fashion industry after launching a women’s fitness apparel brand on his college campus. Brian’s “tell-it-like-it-is” common-sense approach to strategically building fashion brands from the ground up, for fast growth, long-term success, and sharing these effective principles with driven entrepreneurs globally, is what drives him today. You can also listen to him as the host of the fast-growing podcast, Fashion Rewired focused on the ‘Business of Fashion.’

Sentari Minor   

Sentari Minor is most passionate about bringing the best out of individuals and entities. His love languages are strategy, storytelling, and social impact. As Head of Strategy for evolvedMD, Sentari is at the forefront of healthcare innovation with a scope of work that includes strategy, growth, branding, culture, and coaching. Prior to evolvedMD, he worked with some of the Nation’s most prominent and curious CEOs and entrepreneurs advising on philanthropy, policy, and everything social good as Regional Director of Gen Next and strengthened social enterprises in his role as Director at venture philanthropy firm, Social Venture Partners.

Joronda Montaño  

Joronda Montaño’s has dedicated her career to developing prevention programs within Public Health to help families navigate from youth to adulthood successfully. Her depth of experience and focus include community problem solving, youth risk, and mental health. Through her efforts and commitment to these important programs, she has facilitated reductions in school violence, substance use and built prevention strategies impacting over 1 million school-aged children in Arizona. Joronda’s diverse experience also spans across work in 13 different countries and five different continents working in poverty reduction, microfinance, permanent agriculture, disaster relief, farming, and equity in education.
