Sherrod's career has been centered around empowering underserved communities and entrepreneurs. From building accelerators for entrepreneurs of color to leading the development of an entrepreneurial hub in the United States, Sherrod's work is grounded in cultivating access to resources, funding opportunities, and training for the innovators of tomorrow.
Prior to joining SEED SPOT, Sherrod was an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group, working across projects focused on building strategies that advanced workforce and economic development. In addition, he served as the Co-Founder of The Black Entrepreneur Initiative at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which aimed to support the venture development of BIPOC entrepreneurs across the Triangle area.
Sherrod holds a bachelor's degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Business Administration with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Social Impact. Sherrod is also a career and professional development coach, licensed realtor, and community organizer for young professionals in his city.
